Capital City Construction & Management Services (CCCMS) is a full-service union construction company specializing in site work, trucking, concrete, carpentry, erosion control and landscaping services. Led by a Certified Public Accountant with more than thirty-five years in the construction industry, CCCMS is a proven and well-regarded leader in the field, offering added value to their customers who entrust them with their projects.

CCCMS is a company with deep roots in the construction industry beginning with Atlantic Concrete Forms, which was established in 1958 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Atlantic was founded by the father of CCCMS President Lori Manni, Lawrence “Tom” Manni, and was a well-respected concrete form company that laid the groundwork for success for the next 65 years. Originally founded in 1999 as Capital City Concrete, CCCMS’ exponential growth was overseen by Manni until 2011 when she sought to expand the scope of the company’s mission to include wide-ranging construction projects and management services.

CCCMS is a certified WBE/DBE company securing highly qualified personnel in its service and management of customer needs. As a proven and well-regarded leader in the field, Capital City is honored to have successful relationships with its contractors and retention of business. Leadership

Lori Manni, President of Capital City Construction and Management Services, is a seasoned professional with more than thirty-seven years in the management and oversight of a variety of construction projects. As a graduate of Boston College and a Rhode Island Certified Public Accountant, she is fluent in daily business operations including but not limited to contract negotiations and conflict resolution, estimating, budgeting and costs controls, financial analysis, administrative services, onboarding teams, and successful deliverables.

As a certified WBE/DBE designated concrete contractor in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, she has collaborated with established construction contractors on State and Local government projects such as the Narraganset Bay Commission Combined Sewer Overflow Project, Phases I, II, and III.

Upon graduating from Boston College in 1984 and working as a Senior Accountant for Big Eight accounting firms such as Coopers & Lybrand and Ernst & Whinney, Lori joined her father and brother taking over the financial helm at Atlantic Concrete Forms while being an integral part of the launch of Atlantic Ready Mix in 1987. She was considered a trailblazer as a woman in the concrete business in Rhode Island and consistently earned the respect of her male counterparts in the industry.

Lori has in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, audit standards and financial reporting standards, along with a full understanding of Federal, State and local labor laws, Union labor relations and contracts, vendor negotiations, and financial compliance. As an honored recipient of the Providence Business News Top Ten Women Owned Business Award, she is also a very active member of her community having served on several boards and supporting local charitable organizations.
